Who am I?

 

I have been a self-employed artist in drawing, photography and painting since June 2020.

 

I practice photographic self-portraiture, playing with colors and black and white processing. Self-portraiture is a liberating act in terms of my own being, allowing me to discover myself but also to sublimate a body in search of identity; where the transgression of normality moves into an idealized transformation through the synergy of body and nature.

I would define my photographic research in relation to my body as plural and singular expressions.

Alongside photography I practice automatic drawing (or automatic painting) in order to emancipate this body from the simple fact of being frozen in time - an instant resulting from a spontaneous and ritualized practice of the body -.

 

My painting is part of a space-time relationship translating an illustrated poetry of observed nature; composing from an imagination transcribed onto echoing supports such as wood, metal.
